Adrian Johnson is a corrections officer featured in Oz. Portrayed by Cyrus Farmer.
Character Summary[]
He first appears as one of the several African American corrections officers to work in Emerald City under the management of Martin Querns. He is one of the few corrections officers seen who openly shows favoritism towards the African American inmates throughout the series.
Plot Summary[]
After Querns is fired, Johnson works mainly in Unit B, occasionally seen in Em City and the library. Later when Wilson Loewen comes to Oz for assisting the Ku Klux Klan in the 1963 killing of two ten-year old black girls, Johnson goes along with Governor Devlin's African American assistant Perry Loftus in causing a cover-up murder of the mayor who blackmails Devlin for a pardon. The cover-up gets complicated to the point that Leo Glynn discovers Johnson's role where he then pays an inmate Lionel Kelsch to murder him. As Glynn is murdered, Johnson rats out the governor's assistant and goes home free.
